As parents of three precious children, we became acutely aware of what the term “special needs child” meant when our daughter Caroline was born in 2000 with multiple disabilities. Fearful, having never experienced anything like it before, we desperately turned to Easter Seals for answers. Easter Seals reached out to us and put us in touch with other parents who had experienced what we were going through. They provided access to information about caregivers, therapies, and medical specialists who could help raise Caroline’s quality of life. Most importantly, they provided endless resources for just about any question or concern we had.

The Easter Seals organization provided the support we needed as parents in a difficult time, and that support has continued to where we are today: inventing and founding Caroline’s Cart, the first shopping cart designed specifically for special needs children. For this, we are very grateful.

We have established Caroline’s Cause as an initiative to help qualifying organizations join us in raising awareness and funding through sponsorships and co-branding opportunities via sales of Caroline’s Cart. For every Caroline’s Cart sold, a portion of those proceeds will be allocated to support the mission and vision of Easter Seals and other organizations focused on improving the quality of life for special needs children.
